Chris Seymour

Chris Seymour is originally from Plattsburgh, NY, where he played in the music industry semi-professionally since he was thirteen.  Chris learned to play piano at a young age, taking piano lessons for 6 years before switching to guitar. Piano just wasn’t Rock n roll enough for him.

Chris played in many bands from the Plattsburgh area in the late 70’s and into the 80’s, and was also part of the house band at the Office Bar for a couple of years.  Eventually, life would bring him on the road in the mid 80’s for several years playing in such bands as, NY Asylum, Section 8 and Rokken.  Playing all over the New England area, parts of Canada and Nova Scotia playing to crowds as many as 10,000 plus fans.  He also met Stephen King, Aerosmith, Zebra and a few more celebrities while on the road.  Moving back to Plattsburgh he played with Voyager, Kickstart & Dr. X.  Chris then decided he wanted another change in his life so he moved to the Albany, NY area in the mid 90’s. It wasn’t long before he was playing again with such bands as, Jukebox Heroes, DaVinci, Joe Mama Band, Meltdown, Even The Odd & Spoiler. He is now the Keyboardist and Sound man for the The Master Cylinders.

Some of Chris’s influences include: Steve Perry, Freddie Mercury, Alan Fitzgerald, Jonathan Caine and Greg Rollie, Dennis DeYoung, David Bryan, Paul Taylor, & VanHalen.

Chris plays a Yamaha Motif XF7 Keyboard & an Alesis QS 8.1 Keyboard, EV ZLX12P Powered Monitor, Quik-lok stands, Sennheiser EW 115 G3 Wireless Microphone system, Sennheiser EW 300 IEM G3 – G Band in-ear system with Westone custom molded UMB-2 ear pieces, Whirlwind Quad Direct Boxes, DBX 215 EQ,  Fender Custom Shop Cables, SKB & Roadie Cases.
