Kevin McCarthy


Kevin McCarthy is currently the lead guitarist/lead vocalist for The Master Cylinders. Kevin Started playing guitar at age 11, listening to records and learning songs by ear. Kevin has an extensive library of over 1000 cover songs from the 50’s to present and teaches guitar 5 days a week with over 25 years experience in the field. A teacher by day,Rocker by night!

Over the past years Kevin has toured New York, Ohio, New England, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Quebec, and has had the opportunity to share the stage opening live shows with up to 50,000 fans for such groups as: Keith Urban, Joe Perry Project,Blackhawk, Rob Affuso (drummer) of Skid Row, Faith Hill, Emerson drive, Aaron Tippin, The Driffters, Travis Tritt, The Romantics, The Firehouse band, (Kevin played guitar with the lead singer and bass player live in Lake George NY at the Old lake Theatre and performed there hit song: Don’t treat me bad! and a few other classic rock hits.)
Kevin also performed with great blues/jazz legend Robbin Ford (yellow jackets and Saturday night live Band) for a musical clinic in Albany NY back in the early 90’ is a list of Kevin”s stage gear includes: Gibson Les Paul Traditional, Fender American Tex Mex Stratocaster, Ibanez Prestige, Martin American Acousic, Breedlove Stage Guitars, Orange Th-30 Tube Amplifiers, and Roland 60 Acoustic Guitar Amplifiers.
